Bialetti unveiled its newest collection of Moka coffee cups for Christmas 2021.
The Italian cookware and appliance producer is known for its famous aluminum coffee pot used to make Moka (espresso) across Italy and in the homes of coffee lovers around the world. Thanks to its easy-to-clean filtration system and ergonomic design, the signature stovetop pot is thought to have transformed the way coffee was made at home.
With 90 percent of Italian families having reported owning a Moka and its accessories, the brand has successfully established itself not just as the leading brand of brew ware but as a recognizable cultural staple.
Their products come in every color imaginable but like any brand that amasses such a following, Bialetti likes to release new or limited edition selections of their stuff just in time for the holidays.
Bialetti collections come as a set of four porcelain “tazzine” cups, complete with matching saucers, or as handless “bicchierini” cups for those looking for something a little less formal.
The new 2021 holiday edition features a festive playing card theme with each individual cup and plate pairing sporting its own suit. A vibrant red and blue overlay is highlighted with radiant gold detailing for a more dazzling look all while the Bialetti mascot -“little man with the mustache” – takes his place as the center logo.
Each cup on the saucer measures 6.2 in x 4.9 in x 4.5in and holds two fluid ounces (60 mL.)
The handleless set features a horizontal playing card print that’s as equally stunning as the other. It measures 2.6 in x 2.7 in and holds 2.7 fluid ounces (80 mL.)
As if that isn’t enough, there’s also a complete deck of matching Bialetti-branded playing cards that are sold separately or as a part of a gift set.
Both the traditional and handless cups are available in gift sets alongside a bag of coffee, cards, or an air-sealed tin. The traditional cups with handles only come in sets of two while the handless version is available as a full set of four.
Unfortunately for American coffee accessory collectors, the new collection is currently unavailable for sale online and requires that you find an authorized dealer to purchase it. But if you play your cards right, you can probably manage to get a hold of it.
